Wednesday but I keep thinking its Sunday. Weather forecasters have promised no rain and I’m looking forward to riding my new bike on dry roads. It’s also my first ride with the Club for a long time.

Yarra Glen put on an ANZAC Day march for the early arrivals. An eventual turn out of 12 bikes, Ben going rear… what must be a points buster…we're off to Mt. Donna Buang. For a change we do a bit of walking. Half way up there is a construction which basically heads off at road level into the treetops, (canopy platform) Then more exercise? Another well constructed walkway down into the under story of the subtropical rainforest. It really is beautiful, especially lush after all the rain. I don’t get to appreciate this from the bike. I’m usually too busy, eyes on the road. Lovely way to start the morning. Maybe Reefton will be drying out a bit more. Pretty soggy here though.

On we go to Marysville. Ooops! ZX6 is resting about eight foot over the side against a tall tree fern. Took about 4 or 6 people to pull it up; no problem. Marysville busy as usual for lunch.

Down Blacks’ Spur, Kathy departed, up Myer Creek road, across Mt. Slide to Kinglake West and down to Whittlesea. Lovely cruisy day. Thanks Paul and everyone else.
