Sunday 9th Pig & Whistle Counter Lunch Ian Payne leading 9.30 am KBCP, 10.30 am Whittlesea

Pig & Whistle, a quaint little pub at East Trentham. We have been here before and due to its popularity booking is essential. So the Club has booked a table for 10 people at 1 pm. The pub has a special 3-course meal for $20, or the usual bill of fare. If you are contemplating joining us, please contact Ian Payne to confirm your place. The route: leave Whittlesea and head for Wallan, then a short stop at Lancefield for morning tea. Then up to Baynton and across to Kyneton, Spring Hill and the Pub at East Trentham, Home via Woodend, Romsey and Whittlesea. Expect around 250 leisurely km for the day.

Sat. 15th Dirt Ride around the Lake Eildon Lyn Duncan leading

11 am, Lyn and Eddie’s, 1 Eildon Rd Eildon

Lake Eildon is at an all time low so this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride around the Lake and see the amazing sights: exposed bridges and roads, homesteads, sunken boats, and not to mention the lunar-like landscape. So share a trailer for the 2 hour trip to Eildon and get ready for some fun. The ride is classified as easy, with predominantly dirt roads being used. For more details ring Lyn on 5774-2291 or mobile number 0419-122-462. Expect around 150 km for the day.

Sunday 16th Around the Bay (short ride) leader required

10.15 am Hallam

We are looking for a leader for this pleasant adventure. The ride is usually well patronised, with lunch at the Sorrento Pub a popular option. The ferry trip costs about $16 plus GST. Expect around 150 easy km for the day, or a few extra if you complete the loop.

Thurs. 20th Social Sip, 7 pm Blackburn Hotel, 111 Whitehorse Road Blackburn

Sunday 23rd Diamond Valley Miniature Railway (short ride) Dave Ward leading

10.30 am Yarra Glen, 1 pm Eltham Lower Park, Mels. 21H10

If the weather is fine, then there is a chance we could find ourselves on the Reefton Spur. Otherwise there are plenty of nearby hills to play in. For those driving or meeting us there, Eltham Lower Park offers good picnic facilities, though food options are limited to a kiosk. The train(s) are very good value at $2.50 (plus GST) a ride, with each ride taking between 10 and 14 minutes, depending on the type of locomotive and traffic congestion. The loop is something like 2 km long and excellent fun, especially for the big kids amongst us. Expect around 200 km for the day.

Sunday 30th Annual Hill Climb, Brisbane Ranges (short ride) Geoff Jones leading

9.30 am West Gate Bridge Shell Service Station

Tim Walker has won it the last two years running. A steep hill climb over about 1 km. Geoff and family go to a lot of effort to set up timing lights (cars) to signal between the start and finish lines. Everyone gets two or three tries to improve their times. Great fun. Come and wrest the trophy off Tim. Expect around 250 km for the day.

Thurs. 3rd General Meeting, 8.15 pm Club Hall
